If You Can Get Past the Sticker Shock

...or if your budget can withstand the world's priciest city, Zurich is for you. We read on the train ride from Paris that Zurich surpassed Tokyo in a recent survey of the most expensive places to visit. Compounding the expense, Switzerland retained its own currency when the rest of the EU adopted the Euro, so for our extremely short visit here, we have to eat an additional exchange rate.

On the upside, the streets here are cleaner than my living room floor and the magical sound of church bells comes at no extra charge.
